Sony VX2000 3-chip camera

When you purchase our services you can be assured we are using some of the best professional level production and editing equipment on the market.

Our number one camera is the Sony VX2000 3-chip mini-DV camera. The mini stands for the size of the digital tape we use. We use Sony Excellence 60 minute tapes to record your wedding.

To increase the quality of sound we use professional grade XLR cables to connect our microphones to the camera. We certainly could use the microphone on the VX2000, but we have higher production standards; hence, we use a superior external mic. The external microphone mounted on our camera is a Sennheiser ME 66. It is a gun style mic engineered to retrieve highly directional sound.

In addition to the ME 66 mic, we use a professional wireless microphone system. A small transmitter and matching microphone is typically placed on the groom to capture the moment, yet not get in the way. The wireless system we use is an audio-technica U100 True Diversity system. It has the capability to maintain a clear signal up to 300 feet. It works much better than any VHF system and is a perfect audio choice for weddings.

To maintain all that we capture for the editing process, we use IEEE 1394 technology, otherwise known as Firewire or i.LINK to transmitt the digitial content to our computer.

We use a dual G5 Apple MacIntosh (our old G4 computer is shown) with Final Cut Pro software to make cuts, trims, transitions, special effects, filtering, audio sweetening, and text generation.

Once the editing process is complete, we use products like DVD Studio Pro to master your DVD and burn the number of copies your have ordered. We also provide VHS tapes so everyone has a chance to see your wedding or event.
